Update from the Totmans

Last year during Awana, the kids collected money for the Totmans to use at a local orphanage in Niger. Recently Dave & Anora were able to use those funds to buy some food for the orphanage. They were able to purchase:
  • A 50 pound bag of milk (this will make about 50 gallons of milk)
  • A 100 pound bag of sugar
  • A 25 litre jug of cooking oil
  • 12 cans of mixed vegetables
  • A box of seasoning to help their rice/millet meals taste better
Here's what Dave wrote:
"They (the orphanage) asked specifically for the seasoning, sugar and oil and we like to add things like milk and veggies whenever we can. Anora and a team of students just began their weekly visits yesterday. They will got to the orphanage each Wednesday to play with the children, do crafts, read books, etc.

If there's anything else I can do to express my gratitude to the children who raised the money - please let me know. We're concerned that these kids (in the orphanage) are not getting the nutrients they need - so this gift is so appreciated!"
