Missionary: Aaron and Stephanie Synder – Camp Sparta
• Had a computer failure this summer and lost all their mailing lists. A special gift made it possible for them to have their data restored.
• They experienced a successful summer of student ministry. They had a dedicated staff that God used in the lives of the campers. God also blessed their program, it ran smoothly and safely.
• They were also blessed with growth. Each week saw an increase in attendance. At the end of the summer they realized they had an increase of over 100 students!
• The students showed a sensitive spirit. Many young people responded to the gospel and accepted Christ as their Savior. Many more made decisions of personal growth, purity, and call to ministry.
• They have some Challenges ahead. First, maintaining quality with an aging facility. As soon as rainy season started right before camp weeks, they had very serious roof leaks on the dining hall and offices. They prayed about it and got the roofs fixed. Such a large roofing project was not planned in the budget. Also, the retreat center calendar is relatively thin. Income from these groups is what defrays the costs of summer and carries them through slow winter months. Please pray with them for God’s provision at this time.
